GDPR data requests

How Spectry handles data subject access (export) and erasure (delete) requests.

Spectry supports GDPR data-subject requests — exporting or deleting all data associated with an individual. These are processed by Spectry staff on your behalf.

Request types

  • Export — gather all data for a person into a downloadable file.
  • Delete — permanently erase all matching records (requires a specific site).

How an individual is matched

A request resolves a person across your data using one or more lookup keys:

  • User ID (from Spectry.identify)
  • Email address
  • Anonymous ID (for unidentified visitors)
  • Session ID

What's covered

Resolved data spans profile records, events, sessions, session-replay blobs and error logs. The request report includes the identifiers found, affected row counts and replay file sizes.

Request lifecycle

Each request moves through queued → running → completed (or failed). Completed export requests produce a downloadable file; failed requests can be retried.

To submit a request, contact Spectry support with the relevant lookup keys. Use masking and consent to minimise the personal data you collect in the first place.

Put this to work on your own site.
