Build a funnel

Go to Funnels and click Create funnel.

1. Name & type

Give the funnel a name and optional description, and choose a funnel type (ordered, unordered, flexible or time-bound).

2. Add steps

Add steps in the order visitors should complete them:

• Page view step — choose URL is (exact) or URL contains (pattern), and describe the step (e.g. "Visited checkout").
• Custom event step — pick an existing custom event or create one on the fly (e.g. "Clicked subscribe").

3. Arrange & refine

• Drag steps to reorder them.
• In a flexible funnel, mark individual steps as optional.
• Remove any step you don't need.

4. Save

Save the funnel and open it to see results. Funnels analyse historical data, so you'll see numbers immediately for sessions already collected.

For checkout funnels, send a purchase event with order_total and currency so revenue appears in results — see track custom events.
