Resources/Getting Started/Create your first site

Create your first site

Add a website to Spectry and choose its initial tracking and privacy settings.

A site represents one website you want to track. You can create as many as your plan allows.

Add a site

  1. From the Sites screen, click Add site.
  2. Enter your site URL. Use the protocol selector to choose https:// (recommended).
  3. Optionally assign the site to an organization.

Advanced settings (optional)

Expand Advanced settings to set defaults at creation time. All of these can be changed later in site settings:

  • Collect error logs — capture JavaScript errors (on by default).
  • Collect rage clicks — detect frustrated clicking (on by default).
  • Enable attack detection — flag suspicious activity (on by default).
  • Enable session replay — record sessions (on by default).
  • Consent provider — Spectry, Cookiebot, OneTrust, Usercentrics, Cookie Information, Custom, or None. See Consent & providers.

After creation

Once the site is created you'll receive:

  • A Site ID — used in your tracking snippet.
  • A Write key — an optional credential for signing tracking requests.
  • Installation instructions for JavaScript, WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Drupal.
Next: install the tracking snippet so data starts flowing in.

Put this to work on your own site.
