Privacy & consent settings

Where the consent banner, consent method and category enforcement are configured.

The Privacy & Consent tab is where you choose how consent reaches Spectry and, if you use the built-in banner, how it looks.

Privacy and consent tab

Consent method

Pick one of:

  • Spectry built-in banner — Spectry renders and manages the banner.
  • Cookiebot, OneTrust, Usercentrics, Cookie Information — Spectry reads consent from your existing CMP.
  • Custom / manual JS — you tell Spectry about consent yourself through the SDK.
  • No consent banner — marked not recommended, and only defensible if you have another lawful basis.

Appearance (built-in banner)

Theme, position, brand colour, heading and body text, accept/decline button labels, privacy and cookie policy URLs, and a CSS override for anything the options do not cover.

Consent categories and enforcement

Categories map to what Spectry may collect — analytics, replay, heatmaps, feedback. Enforcement decides what happens before a choice is made.

These settings are covered in full under Privacy & Consent, which also explains what each category gates and how to verify the wiring is correct.
