Enable & sample replays

Turn on replay, set a sample rate, and always-record errors or rage clicks.

Configure replay in Settings → Replay.

Settings

  • Enabled — turn session recording on or off.
  • Sample rate — the percentage of sessions to record (e.g. 10%). Lower rates save quota on high-traffic sites.
  • Always record on errors — record any session in which a JavaScript error occurs, even if it wasn't sampled.
  • Always record on rage clicks — record any session with detected rage clicking.

How late-start recording works

If a session isn't initially sampled but then hits an error or rage click (and the matching "always record" option is on), Spectry begins recording from that moment — so you still capture the important sessions without recording everyone.

The number of replays you can store each month depends on your plan. A modest sample rate plus "always record on errors/rage" is a good balance of coverage and quota.
