Dashboard overview
The site Overview: live visitors, key metrics, traffic trends and quick links.
The Overview is the home screen for a site — a snapshot of health and traffic for the selected date range.
What's on it
- Live visitors — how many people are on your site right now.
- Key metrics — pageviews, unique sessions, average session duration, bounce rate, pages per session.
- Traffic chart — impressions and unique sessions over time.
- Top pages — your most-viewed pages, clickable for detail.
- Recent events — the latest custom events.
- AI insights — highlighted critical issues (see AI insights).
What the numbers mean
Analytics tools define these terms differently, so it is worth being precise about Spectry's:
- Page views — every page load, including repeat views within one visit. Also shown as impressions.
- Unique views — page views deduplicated per session, so reloading a page five times counts once.
- Sessions — a visit, counted from when it started. A session that begins at 23:50 belongs to that day, even if the visitor stays past midnight.
- Bounce rate — the share of sessions with a single page view and no meaningful interaction.
- Pages per session — total page views divided by sessions.
Date ranges are whole UTC calendar days. If your team is in another timezone, "today" in Spectry may not match "today" locally — worth remembering before you chase a discrepancy against another tool.
Date range & segments
Use the date picker (presets such as 7/14/30/90 days, or a custom range) to change the window. Apply a segment to focus on a specific audience. Both selections persist per site and carry across every analytics screen, so you don't reapply them tab by tab — and if a screen looks unexpectedly quiet, check whether a segment is still active.
The analytics hubs
Detailed reporting is organised into hubs:
- Audience — who visits.
- Behaviour — what they do.
- Performance — how fast it is.
- Acquisition — where traffic comes from.
