Connect & embed a survey
Share a survey by link, embed it in a page, protect it with a password and forward responses onward.
The Connect tab covers everything outside the widget itself: the shareable link, embedding, languages, password protection and forwarding responses to other tools.
Link
Every survey has a hosted page you can send to anyone — in an email, a chat message, or behind a QR code. Anyone with the link can answer. The link only appears once Show the survey on the Display tab is set to Link or Both.
Embed on a page
The embed snippet is an iframe of the hosted page, so it works on any site — including sites without the Spectry SDK installed. To have the survey appear over your own site instead, use the on-site widget rather than the embed.
Password protection
Add a password to require it before the hosted page renders. Use it for internal or customer-panel surveys. Changing the password takes effect immediately; anyone mid-survey finishes normally.
Languages
Add a language and translate the question text, options, buttons and the thank-you screen. Visitors are matched to a language by their browser. See Translating a survey.
Integrations
- Mailing lists — connect a provider, fetch its lists and choose a destination. Only responses that include an email address are forwarded.
- Destination URL — post each response to your own endpoint as it arrives.
- Active — turn a connection off to keep its configuration but skip it. Disconnect stops forwarding entirely; anything already sent stays where it is.
Field mapping is per question, so renaming a question in the Build tab does not break an existing connection.
