After submit: thank you, redirect & downloads
What happens once a visitor submits — messages, redirects, file downloads and unlocks.
The After submit tab defines the success action. Exactly one runs per submission.
Success actions
- Message — replace the form with a confirmation. The default, and the least disruptive.
- Redirect — send the visitor to a URL. Good for a dedicated thank-you page you want to measure as a conversion.
- Coupon — reveal a discount code, drawn from a pool. See Coupons & games.
- Download — hand over a file (the lead magnet: a PDF, a guide, a template).
- Unlock — reveal gated content already on the page.
Double opt-in
With double opt-in enabled, the lead is stored as unconfirmed and a confirmation email is sent; the lead is only marked confirmed once the visitor clicks through. This is the safer choice under GDPR and gives a materially cleaner list, at the cost of a lower confirmed-signup rate.
Writing a success message that works
Say what happens next and when. "Check your inbox — your code arrives within a minute" prevents the support ticket that "Thanks!" creates.
