Builder: design & mobile

Colours, spacing and typography, plus mobile-specific overrides and the teaser tab.

The Design tab controls the form's look: colours, corner radius, spacing, fonts, overlay opacity and the position of the widget on screen.

Mobile overrides

Design settings apply everywhere by default. Switch the preview to Mobile and any value you change there is stored as a mobile-only override, applied below the 767px breakpoint. Anything you leave alone keeps inheriting the desktop value.

Hiding blocks per device

Individual blocks can be hidden on mobile or on desktop. This is the right tool for a decorative image that crowds a small screen, or a second field you only want from desktop visitors.

Hidden fields are not validated. A required field hidden on mobile will not block submission on mobile — this is deliberate, so a hidden field can never trap a visitor in an unsubmittable form.

The teaser tab

Instead of showing the full form immediately, you can show a small teaser — a tab anchored to the edge of the screen. The form opens when the visitor clicks it. A teaser converts a lower share of visitors than an interruptive popup but costs nothing in annoyance, which makes it a good fit for always-on offers.

The teaser also becomes the fallback after a visitor dismisses the form: the widget collapses back to the tab rather than disappearing, so an accidental dismissal is recoverable.

Live preview

The preview beside the editor renders the real widget at the selected breakpoint. Use it to check the form does not cover your own navigation or a cookie banner on small screens.
